Job Title Service Engineer – Lab Equipment (field based)
Location: Based in London – UK travel required & overnight stays may be required
Role
To carry out repair / installation and general maintenance, IQ, OQ, PQ and calibration/validation to UKAS standards. Paying attention to customer’s requirements, giving positive professional advice when required. To promote products, service contracts whenever possible.
Key Tasks
- Servicing or repairs of products to be of a high and professional standard
- Repair and calibration of instruments
- Field installation / Commissioning of products
- Full training to customers on product operation
- Provide technical back-up on products to customer and staff
- Provide detailed reports
- Monitoring of major problems
- Providing a high standard of Customer Care
Skills, knowledge & competencies
Minimum of ONC or HNC level or above in Electronics or another relevant technical discipline
- Demonstrate a strong background working in a field service or technical support role gained within a high value electrical capital equipment environment
- Experience in a wide range of electrical and electronic sectors, refrigeration (F-Gas approved), washer disinfectors, and a range of laboratory equipment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to remain confident in customer facing environments
- Computer literate (Microsoft)
- Full clean driving licence
